Tinier Desk Concerts is thrilled to welcome some out-of-town performers. We're welcoming Merle Law from Portland, Oregon and Sammy Brue from Ogden, Utah for an incredible night of performances. Well known Lubbock performer Theron Zuber will be opening the show.
What is a Tinier Desk Concert?
Tinier Desk Concerts happen inside Jackalope Creative's office, rearranged into a tiny venue for one night. Consider it a loving homage to that other beloved desk-concert tradition: close quarters and performances built for a room that’s actually listening. Artists bring special versions of their songs stripped back to their core and arrangements you won’t hear at a typical show.

About Merle Law
Merle Law is an alternative singer-songwriter in Portland, OR. Law has developed a sound driven by counter rhythms, a melodic tide pool and personal poetry that relates to the listener. Merle's approach, recording to tape on a cheap nylon guitar with a spectral band, is steeped in the textures of the homes they’ve inhabited: from the moss-draped bayou to the foreboding fog of the PNW.
Drinks + Local Shopping
Frankie’s Provisions will be pouring alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, and the Lubbock Artisan Collective storefront will be open during the event so you can shop work from local makers and artists while you sip and settle in.
